Does your state offer alternative teaching certification? I don't think it is your employment history unless you have gigantic gaps.

What do you want to do? Resumes are interesting creatures. You must format it for the industry you want to be involved in. It also sounds like you need to practice your interviewing skills. Call your alma mater and set up a mock interview (even if it is over the phone).

I just wanted to tell you not to get down.

You said that you need to find some kind of career path. Do you know what you would be happy doing? Or in what industry you would be happy working? Put your resume out there for jobs that you wouldn't have considered before. You may be surprised.

If you'd like me to look over your resume and offer suggestions, let me know and I'll print it out and take a look at it.

Good Luck!

Reach out to a local Staffing Agency - talk to a Recruiter there about your resume and positions that they might have available.

I would also suggest looking for networking meetings for your industry and going to those meetings. You meet great people that can refer you to others, and you also gain the encouragement and support that you are looking for during your job search!

Good Luck!
