How can I make myself more noticeable when searching for a job online?

When applying for jobs online, how can you make yourself more noticeable? I must have sent out at least 50+ applications, and I never seem to get a response. Am I supposed to call companies a few days after sending my cover letter/resume? Any help would be appreciated.

    Create a video blog…instantly.

The same guidelines of a good resume, just search resume tips. No you’re not supposed to call, they call you.

I think you really have to go back to the old ways of finding a job along with the new. Send a professional looking resume in the mail after you’ve applied online. I’ve had the same problems applying online and I never had a hard time finding a job before I started using Internet technology.

Well. Its tough because the job market is a lot smaller than it used to be.

A very professional resume helps. You want it to be eye catching, but not unprofessional. Cater your resume to the type of job you want. IE-a teacher should have the resume outlining past teaching experiences, with skills, and knowledge and classes, as well as certifications, etc. A graphic designer should have a resume that has graphics, (but not OVERLY used graphics), outlining computer skills and programs used, as well as some previous publications.

You wouldn’t want a square peg into a round hole…pick up some books and read and check out examples.

Also a cover letter works WONDERS…most companies won’t even look at it without a cover letter.
